The One Before Christmas

Hello all

I don't actually have much to say here, but I figured I would get a pre-Christmas message out so I don't have to think about it later!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

There we go, I think that about covers it!

Anyway, I'm busy enjoying having friends around again, it's nice just having the option to go out! Apart from that I have been doing very little! Had a family do on Sunday, and went for a few drinks last night, but that is the brunt of it!

That is all for now, hope everyone reading has a good Christmas, and apologies for not sending any cards to any of my friends, I am indeed rubbish!

An Xbox 360 Update!

Right, a quick update for you all!
Amazon still hasn't come through, for me or Dan, although Dan's order is still estimated to be dispatching a day before mine! Even though I ordered 2 months earlier than him! Makes perfect sense in amazon land!

Anyway, the good news is that I managed to get a 360 ordered from the argos website, it should be delivered tomorrow, so fingers crossed!
I will give an update, and possibly photos, if it arrives tomorrow!

Weebl and Bob!

Right, I am a bit bored so I thought I would make this post.
I have seen this latest Weebl and Bob video a few times in the last few days, but it still makes me laugh! If anyone hasn't seen this website before, do yourself a favour and watch every Weebl and Bob video, and also all the random videos like Kenya, well worth the time!

Anyway below is the video

22nd of February! WHHHHHHHAAAAAAT!

Well, hmmm, great!
Amazon have really come through for me!
Yeah
As you can probably guess, the date in the title is when amazon now say I will receive my xbox 360! Riiiiiiiight!
So ordering early really doesn't help with them then!
I am now gonna go to a couple of shops since I'm bored and see when they will have any in, and as soon as I can I will cancel my amazon order!
And to think that I actually trusted them, until this morning!
Pah!

Amazon are funny!

A nice edition to my previous post, from what I have been reading on various forums today, there is a good reason why amazon haven't shipped my order!
To fully understand this I should explain that amazon started taking pre-orders for the Xbox 360 on August 17th. I didn't order mine until September 11th, but I still felt that I was in with a chance of getting the console!
Whilst browsing some forums recently, I happened upon a thread that was all about pre-orders placed at amazon.co.uk, and started to read it. Turns out that amazon started shipping the xbox to people, but not those who had ordered earliest, there were people being sent consoles who hadn't ordered until October.
To cut a long story short, it appears that amazon has cocked up using it's own system.
When you order something on amazon, the order gets randomly sent to 1 of 3 fulfillment centres in the UK. It turns out that when amazon received their quota of consoles for dispatch, they sent all of them to 1 centre! This means that lots of people have been missed out, many of whom ordered very early!
As compensation amazon have now sent out a £10 vouchers! Just what I wanted. They have also said that they can't promise that the console will be delivered before Christmas, something which they had previously promised provided you ordered before November 2nd (gutted Dan :-P)

Anyway, that's my little story, though I would write it down as I have nothing better to do!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Well, I didn't get my Xbox 360!
Instead I have Project Gotham Racing 3, the only game that I actually ordered! As you can see from the picture below, it is now sat on my desk mocking me! Oh joy!

On a plus note, my brother's present has arrived and my parents' presents are in the post, so that is Chrimbo sorted!

Interviewed, but still bored!

As promised I am posting after my interview, albeit not straight after!
I was going to write a dramatic piece about my experience, but then I realized that I am lazy!
So, on Tuesday I went down to London for my interview an the Pentland Group. I traveled in by train with my Mum, who decided to come along as the interview was in Finchley and she used to live just up the road with my Dad when my brother was born! So, got into Paddington and to the tube out to Finchley. Got there a bit early, so went for a spot of lunch with my Mum. Anyway, once I got the the place, I sat down and had a gaze around their impressive looking lobby. It was full of the kind of arty stuff that I'm sure Sarah would like!
Eventually my interviewer arrived and took me upstairs. I had a gander at some of the various office, all very nice! Interview went for an hour, very relaxed and comfortable, which was nice as I was a little apprehensive beforehand. The lady was very nice, asked lots of questions and myself and my experience and at the end gave me some pointers as to where I can improve my interview technique in the future!
She said that she will ask around the various heads of HR of the different companies they own (like Mitre and Ellesse) and see if there is anything available, but she also said that she will consider me for a new graduate scheme that thy are starting in January.

So all in all, it went very well. We met up with my Dad back in Paddington, as her was on his way back from a seminar in the Houses of parliament! Very impressive I know!

So there you have it, my interview. I am now waiting for a reply, but I have no real idea when that will come! So in the mean time I am once again looking for some temping work until Christmas, whilst waiting for my Xbox 360 to come, mainly so that I can fill out that little card over there ---------->

Also in the past week there has been a visit to Loughborough for Nelly's birthday. Won't go into too many details, but it was a good weekend involving Hooters followed by much drunkenness! Happy Birthday Nelly for last Saturday!!!

That is all for now, but below are they pictures of my finished room that I promised after my last post! Also there is a bonus picture of my advent calendar
